Eliminate lonely deaths of people with disabilities
In order to increase the wages of people with disabilities working at Type B business establishments that support continued employment, we have launched a general incorporated association called SDGs by People with Disabilities in collaboration with a local company president.

Our mission statement is to "eliminate lonely deaths of people with disabilities" and we have established the following as our activity policy.
1. Raise the average wages of people with disabilities
2. Provide people with disabilities with memories that will last a lifetime

Jinkeido is in charge of planning and management. We are carrying out various initiatives based in a former special needs school in Shiranoe, Moji Ward, Kitakyushu City, which has been closed down.

[What prompted us]
It was difficult to find a contractor.
We had outsourced the packaging tasks for our overseas export business to a Type B business facility that continuously supports people with disabilities, but we had a hard time finding a contractor as each facility specializes in different types of work and the scale of the business did not match, so we changed contractors several times. From that experience, we wanted to create a system that would make it easier for business matching between local companies looking for employees to outsource tasks and those facilities trying to getting tasks. We also wanted to raise the average wages for people with disabilities, so we co-founded the general incorporated association named “SDGs for Disabilities” in collaboration with local businesses.
Events

While organizing the belongings of the deceased, we noticed that inside of the houses of people with disabilities, there are only piles of medicines and receipts, and no traces of their lifelong memories.

We started this project to create lifelong memories for people with disabilities.

Each time, we are receiving more cooperation from professionals.

“Your Wedding” Project

“Your Wedding” Project
This event took place at Mojiko Retro, a world-famous tourist spot. People with disabilities wore wedding attire and took photos. Hair and makeup, as well as the event scenario, were done and created by volunteer professionals who are wedding producers. Dresses were adjusted to fit each participant, and Kokura Station Hotel let us rent the equipment free of charge. The first event was held on November 11, 2023 at the abandoned Shiranoe school building. The second event was held on October 23, 2024 at the Kanmon Nostalgic Straits.

“Your Coming of Age Ceremony”

“Your Coming of Age Ceremony”
During the cherry blossom season, we organize a coming of age ceremony for people with disabilities. We raise donations for Kimonos (Furisode), and makeup is done by professional volunteers.
OUTSOURCING

大型の業務委託の受入窓口

In order to improve the national average wage of 243 yen for Type B business facilities that support continued employment, we are connecting various companies and organizations with the facilities to create jobs and wages for people with disabilities. We are, first, aiming to raise wages for all Type B business facilities in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
We also believe that these activities can be the first step to resolve the labor shortage throughout Japan.
To achieve this, we will integrate the contact points between companies and businesses and aim to receive orders for large-scale work. By dividing the work among multiple offices, we will be able to take on large-scale work that we could not undertake before.
